What it is
A warning light or a car that won't start usually means a tow and a day without it. We come to the vehicle instead: scan the codes, test the electrical system and find out what has actually failed before any part gets ordered.
Most of what we see gets fixed on the spot. Recent jobs include alternator replacements on cars with starting problems and a power steering line swapped out in a driveway. If a job is better done in a shop, we'll say so up front.

How a repair goes
Diagnose first
Codes get read and the electrical system gets tested, so the repair is aimed at the actual fault and not a guess.
Quote, then repair
You get a price before any work starts. Once you say go, the old part comes out and the new one goes in, right where the car is parked.
Test and hand back
We start it, check it and show you what was replaced. In our own words: we won't stop until you're satisfied with the results.

For a lot of jobs, yes. Alternators, batteries, power steering lines, spark plugs, brakes and electrical faults are all work we do on site. Tell us what the car is doing and we'll tell you whether it can be done where it's parked.
Reading the stored fault codes, testing the electrical system and looking at the parts those results point to. The aim is to know what has failed before anything is replaced.
Per job. Detailing has set tiers, but a repair depends on the vehicle and the part, so you get a quote before any work starts.
Access to the vehicle and the keys. We bring our own equipment and products. When you book, tell us where it will be parked and whether there's a water spigot nearby, and we'll plan around it.
